We believe that there is a story behind every piece of ‘kain tradisional’: How every remarkable artisan in villages across Indonesia crafted it by hand through intensive time.

Here in Oemah Etnik, we try to tell that story by presenting ‘kain tradisional’ in a form of wearable fashion items you can wear on daily basis.

Because that’s how we appreciate the heritage; by knowing it, wearing it, and passing it to following generations.

Each fabric takes weeks to create and tell different stories. Also, crafted from different method.

Some of the was made using hand-stamped technique, the other was carefully drawn using hand-written technique. All Batik fabric were dyed one at a time with sustainably sourced leaves and wood.
