It began as a tribute to women, to their resilience, patience, and strength. Like traditional craft itself, Poean honored the unseen labor, the softness that carries endurance, and the grace that holds everything together.

A Story That Began in 2022
Poean was first introduced in 2022, marking its debut at the JF3 Fashion Festival during the celebration of Hari Batik Nasional. Conceived as a tribute to heritage while speaking to the present moment, Poean set out to reframe batik through a lens that feels modern and relevant.
The uniqueness of Poean lies in its dual batik technique, stamped and hand-brushed from Pekalongan. Each piece carries the quiet intensity of these processes, where patience, precision, and artistry meet. The dialogue between both methods creates a layered expression, intertwining intricate craftsmanship with contemporary allure.
This year, Poean 2.0 returns with a renewed spirit. Reborn, renewed, and refined, the collection unfolds through thoughtful motifs and considered fabric choices, designed to extend both its longevity and resonance across time. Infused with OE Poean’s signature silhouettes and delicate detailing, it now expands into menswear, completing its sense of balance and shared expression.

The introduction of menswear in Poean 2.0 is not a shift away from its origin, but a return to completeness. It enters as structure to softness, grounding to expression, and balance to continuity.
