Summer Trip 2026 - Wellness Escape, A Journey Back to Ourselves

18 June 2026 Oemah Etnik

Jakarta, 10 June 2026 We Left Jakarta for a Day. We Came Back With More Than Memories.

There is something about modern life that constantly pushes us to keep up.

To move faster, do more, and follow timelines that may not even be our own. In the process, it becomes easy to forget that growth looks different for everyone.

This thought inspired Summer 2026.

Rooted in the idea of embracing our truest selves, the collection celebrates individuality and the freedom to grow at our own pace. Because just like fruit, no two journeys unfold in the same way.

To bring this spirit to life, we invited our community to Summer Trip 2026: Wellness Escape, a one-day journey to Asha Resort. Together with 14 guests and the team behind Mestakula, we spent the day sharing stories, slowing down, and reconnecting with what feels uniquely ours.

A Moment to Exhale

The journey began with a sail across calm waters under clear skies. As Jakarta slowly faded into the background, so did the pace we had been carrying with us.

By the time we arrived at Asha Resort, it felt as though everyone had collectively taken a deeper breath.

The water was impossibly blue. The weather was kind to us. The breeze was constant. It was one of those places that instantly makes you realize how much you needed a break, even if you didn't know it before arriving.

For many of us, that was the first realization of the day: perhaps rest is not something we should earn after exhaustion. Perhaps it is something we should allow ourselves before reaching it.

Surrounded by good company and thoughtful touches from BLP Beauty, Dew It, LEKA, LEKA GO, and VESKA, the day unfolded naturally. Conversations flowed easily. Laughter came often. For a while, nobody seemed to be in a rush.

Fruit of the Self

As everyone settled in, Rizki Triana and Dey Fitria shared the story behind Summer 2026.

Inspired by Passion Fruit (Markisa) and Snake Fruit (Salak), the collection explores individuality through texture, character, and contrast. Both fruits are familiar to us, yet each carries a distinctive identity of its own. We saw a reflection of ourselves in that idea.

No two fruits ripen the same way. No two people do either.

Through this collection, we wanted to celebrate the freedom to grow into ourselves without comparison, without timelines, and without the pressure to become someone else.

This conversation naturally carried into a series of wellness sessions led by Mestakula, including sound healing, reiki, and soul conversations.

One thing we kept noticing throughout the day was how different everyone's stories were, yet how familiar many of the emotions felt. The desire to be understood. The fear of not being enough. The challenge of accepting ourselves as we are.

Listening to others reminded us that we are often less alone than we think.

The Stories We Keep

As the afternoon continued, we captured moments around the island, documenting not only the collection but also the genuine connections being formed throughout the day.

The experience ended with a scrapbook session, one of the most personal moments of the trip.

Guests reflected on their experiences, assembled memories, and shared pieces of themselves with the group. What surprised us was how openly everyone spoke. There was honesty, vulnerability, and a willingness to listen without judgment.

It reminded us that growth does not always come from having the answers. Sometimes it comes from hearing someone else's story and recognizing a part of yourself within it.

Returning a Little Lighter

As the sun began to set, we boarded the boat back to Jakarta.

The city we left that morning was still waiting for us. The emails, deadlines, and responsibilities hadn't disappeared. Yet something felt different.

Perhaps it was the clarity that comes from slowing down. Perhaps it was the conversations we shared. Or perhaps it was simply the reminder that we are allowed to take up space as we are, without constantly trying to become more.

Summer Trip 2026: Wellness Escape was never only about launching a collection.

It was about creating room to reconnect with ourselves, with others, and with the parts of us that often get lost in the rush of everyday life.

And if there was one thing we brought home from the trip, it was this: growth doesn't need to be rushed. Like fruit, we all arrive in our own time.
