That question stayed with us yesterday. Not something we tried to answer out loud, but something that sat quietly in between moments, in conversations, in the way everyone showed up as they are.
We gathered to celebrate peremPOEAN. Not just one version of it, but all of it. The evolving, the shifting, the parts we’re still figuring out. Poean comes back here not as before, but as something that feels more complete, more grounded, more honest.
Beginning at the Table
We started the day at Seribu Rasa, Plaza Indonesia, gathered around a table that felt both familiar and special.
Surrounded by the richness of Indonesian flavors and heritage, conversations unfolded naturally. There was ease in the air, laughter that didn’t need effort, and a shared sense of being present. It set the tone for everything that followed, grounding the day in warmth and connection.
Taking Care, As We Are
As guests arrived, the experience opened with a hair and skin check by Lepolita.
It felt simple, yet meaningful. A moment to pause and reconnect with ourselves. In the middle of everything we carry, it became a reminder that taking care of ourselves is not an extra step, it’s a form of acknowledgment. A way of recognizing our own presence, our own worth, just as we are.
Letting It Show Through Flowers
The day unfolded into something more expressive through a flower arrangement session guided by Rupa Cempaka.
Each flower held its own meaning, and each guest brought their own story into the arrangement. No two bouquets were the same. Some leaned soft and subtle, others bold and full of contrast. Every piece reflected a different perspective, a different feeling.
And in that moment, it became clear. Differences are not something to be diminished, they’re what bring color, depth, and life into the same space.
Poean 2.0, A Story Continued
The celebration then moved into our home at the OE Flagship Store in Plaza Indonesia, where Poean 2.0 was officially launched and experienced through exclusive early access.
This collection carries forward a story many have known, now evolving with deeper intention. Rooted in its signature dual Pekalongan batik, it continues to explore the meeting point between structure and fluidity, tradition and diversity. Just like the moment we shared here yesterday.
Holding Onto What Remains
By the end of the day, what stayed wasn’t just the sequence of moments, but the feeling it left behind.
The warmth of shared conversations, the laughter that came easily, the unspoken understanding between one another. A sense that our differences don’t separate us, they bring richness into the same space.
And maybe that’s what we take with us.
That nothing was ever missing. That wholeness has always been there, waiting to be seen, through every story and every version of who we are.
